Yuhong is intrigued by “the "idea of the multiplicity of images… [exploring] the potential limitations through spaces and conditions of living - the confines and the rules of architecture”.

Working with painting, video and performance, Yuhong makes situationist statements, constructing ideas around appearance and function.

“At the moment, painting for me responds to the locality, I want to explore how paintings could also extend and respond to virtuality.”

Yuhong lists a few prompts that will inform their time at Rupture:

• What it is to create personal and safe spaces

• What it is to construct and make sense of positions in shifting cultural and technological matrixes.
