  • Suitable for solo and group shows

  • Highly competitive rates

We offer a 350 sq. ft. High Street shop-front gallery. Additional 800 sq. ft. and 360 off-street sq. ft. exhibition and studio spaces available.

RuptureXIBIT exists to encourage the development of artistic practice in all disciplines, focusing on showing rather than selling. While artists are welcome to sell their work, our purpose is to highlight the potential for growth that comes from conversations that arise during a show. Read more about our ethos in the Rupture Manifesto HERE.

This experimental space runs out of the studio of RCA painting alumnus Kate Howe. RuptureXIBIT is shared as a flexible exhibition space to give artists an affordable place to expand and define their practice by showing their experimental work and talking about it across disciplines and communities devoid of hierarchy. Experimental means experimental to you: how you ask more of your practice. We accept proposals based on the artist’s desire to develop through showing.

RuptureXIBIT is interested in the new, and believes the new comes from an engagement with a willingness to stretch, push, and fail. We are a lab, a workout space, a place to try things you are unsure of. We are your trampoline.

To apply for an exhibition we require the following:

  • A written proposal for your show (up to 500 words). This describes your concept for the show

  • Up to ten images of work. This is a portfolio of current work, which should represent what you intend to show

  • A statement (up to 500 words) about why or how your practice will benefit from showing at the RuptureXIBIT Gallery. This is where you can talk about how you hope to push yourself and your practice by showing in the space, and talk about experimental ideas

  • We ask that you include the following with the proposal, should we accept your show:

  •   An artist bio (max 250 words)

  •   A brief description of your show for social media (150 - 200 words)

  •   A brief description of your show for our website (up to 250 words)
