July: Writing with voices

In this workshop, we’ll explore the role of narrators and other voices in prose and poetry. As writers, we may choose to write in our own voice, or we may explore writing in someone else’s – a character’s, a narrator’s, a creature’s!Together, we’ll look at texts that play with voice and narration, such as Tania Hershman’s Go On, and we’ll play with these ourselves through short, generative writing exercises.The workshop will offer a nurturing, non-judgemental space in which to take chances and find ways to inspire and enliven your writing practice.Suitable for all levels from beginners to experienced writers.
