The power of RuptureXIBIT (+Studio) is that it is NOT a gallery or a shop. Its purpose is to erase hierarchy: whose work should we look at, who should be looking at work, and remove all barriers of age, circumstance, ability, gender, race, socioeconomic status, everything, and through that Rupture, to give artists and people who love to look at art the opportunity to come together and look at work which has been generated not so it can be bought or sold, but so they - artists and art lovers, can challenge themselves, engage with the local community and the wider London community of artists, and talk about the work with a wide range of people.
